Venue of the 1st Juancheng Hair Products Expo (2025)

“The expo happened to coincide with my birthday; there could be no more meaningful way to celebrate than by unlocking new opportunities and forging new partnerships within the hair products industry,” stated Shannon Porter, an international purchasing specialist from the United States, on September 6 at the inaugural 2025 Juancheng Hair Products Expo. Themed “Uniting Forces, Weaving the Future,” this major industry event attracted over 150 buyers from more than 30 countries, alongside over 200 key domestic enterprises and numerous industry experts, all converging in the “Hair Capital of China” to discuss cooperation and chart a course for shared development.

The expo featured 228 booths spanning an exhibition area of 7,400 square meters, showcasing a comprehensive range of hair products—including wigs, hair weaves, hair extensions, and training mannequins. Over ten concurrent events were held alongside the exhibition, ranging from targeted procurement matchmaking sessions and cross-border e-commerce forums to UPS international shipping policy briefings and tours of industrial bases. These activities fostered a deep integration of industry and market, bridged the gap between international and local spheres, and connected online and offline channels, thereby providing a vital platform for driving the optimization and upgrading of the entire hair products industry chain.

“The sheer variety and comprehensive scope of the exhibits exceeded my expectations,” remarked Shannon Porter. Having spent years specializing in wigs, hair enhancement products, and hair care solutions, she previously relied primarily on online communication and sample shipments for her business dealings. While confident in the quality of the products themselves, she had lacked a firsthand, intuitive understanding of the companies’ actual operations and the local industrial ecosystem. At this expo, she not only connected with a multitude of high-quality suppliers but also conducted on-site visits to manufacturing facilities, gaining a comprehensive overview of Juancheng’s end-to-end industry chain—from raw material sourcing and R&D to production and export—an experience she described as “truly astonishing.”

“Juancheng truly lives up to its title as the ‘Hair Capital of China’; the products feature exquisite craftsmanship and cover every conceivable category. Thanks to the highly efficient and precise matchmaking mechanisms in place, we were able to establish preliminary cooperation agreements with several suppliers and identify our ideal business partners,” noted Zara Mekali, a buyer from Belgium who shared Porter’s sense of pleasant surprise. The 2025 China (Juancheng) Hair Products Targeted Procurement Matchmaking Session, held on the afternoon of September 6, successfully established an efficient and precise platform for international trade cooperation, generating a preliminary transaction volume of 100 million RMB in a single day. From a “Single Strand of Hair” to a “Multi-Billion Cluster.” Since its inception in the 1970s, the hair products industry in Juancheng has evolved into a complete industrial chain integrating raw material procurement, processing, R&D, and export. The county now boasts over 1,500 hair product enterprises—including 111 large-scale enterprises—generating employment for nearly 100,000 people.

Particularly noteworthy is the fact that Juancheng’s hair products have penetrated markets in over 80 countries and regions worldwide, with an annual export value exceeding 2.5 billion RMB. Among these products, hair extensions alone account for a 70% share of the global market and 90% of the domestic market. High-end products made from pure human hair have garnered international acclaim for their superior quality, while the influence of locally developed brands continues to grow. Today, Juancheng stands as China’s most critical hub for the collection and distribution of raw human hair materials, as well as a major processing base; it processes 5,000 tons of raw hair materials annually and produces over 30 million finished hair products.

Currently, Juancheng is actively advancing the construction of bonded warehouses for hair products, cross-border e-commerce service centers, and three modern industrial parks. The aim is to establish fully digitized service workflows—spanning everything from raw material imports to e-commerce exports—thereby injecting fresh momentum into the industry’s rapid expansion. At the recent Hair Products Expo, numerous participating enterprises noted that, by leveraging cross-border e-commerce platforms and favorable government policies, Juancheng’s hair products are now “going global” with greater speed and stability.

Although the Hair Products Expo has concluded, the journey of cooperation has only just begun. Industry experts observe that this year’s expo not only effectively enhanced the international visibility and brand influence of the “Hair Capital of China,” but also provided invaluable opportunities for global resource matching, technological exchange, and production capacity collaboration within the hair products sector. It vividly demonstrated the immense potential and innovative vitality of China’s specialized county-level industries as they integrate into the global market.
